Cookies are small text files stored by a browser when a website is visited. They may be used to make a website function, remember a choice, measure usage, or support advertising. The legal requirements depend on their purpose.
The ARK website uses one first-party technical preference cookie, ark-language. It is created or refreshed only when you manually select English or Italian and is not used to identify you, analyse browsing behaviour, or build a profile. It applies across this site, uses SameSite=Lax, and is marked Secure on HTTPS pages.
The saved preference is applied when you open the home page: if you chose Italian, the English home page takes you to the Italian home page. Without a saved choice, the website is shown in English. Your browser language is not used.
The site uses only the language-preference cookie described below. It does not use analytics, advertising or profiling cookies, and does not display a consent banner for this preference-only configuration.
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Deleting ark-language removes the saved choice; the website will then be shown in English until you choose a language again. Neither your browser language nor your geographic location is used. You can always switch language manually.
ARK may update this notice when the website’s cookie use changes. Privacy and cookie questions may be sent to enquiries@ark-energy.ie.
